This single cask Australian whisky from Starward in Melbourne is an absolute treat that's perfect for the colder months, but still terrific year round. It has a nose that's densely packed with stewed red fruits, raisin bread and baking spices. The whisky unfurls itself on the palate with flavors that are sweet and slightly creamy, with flavors of spiced berry jam spread over toast, toffee, blackberry fruit leather and cinnamon apple compote. The underlying sweetness dries out into a long finish that's toasty and autumnal, cinnamon and nutmeg standing out among the warm spices.
