The wine is characterized by heady aromatics that signal its quality, with notes of black cherry, plum, and blackberry complemented by dark chocolate, tobacco leaf, and cool menthol. On the palate, the wine is bold and assertive, with flavors of dark fruits, Bing cherries, black raspberry, plum, and pomegranate. These flavors are accompanied by hints of cranberries, rhubarb, espresso, dried herbs, fennel, and cigar box, all integrated together on a structure of very fine grain, plush and ripe tannins.
