The fifth release in Bruichladdich's Legacy series, this is a mix of sherry and bourbon cask whisky, including some from as far back as 1968. The spirit has an exclusive elegance that only comes from slow distillation and lots of time in high quality casks. The texture is like soft silk and satin. Notes of candied orange peel, burnt sugar, meady sweet malted barley continue the story which ends on the mellowness of the 200 year oak, strong and supportive through which the spirit has breathed the vital air of Islay’s western seaboard.
