Brown rum distilled from fermented sugar cane juice. The youngest of the Barbancourt rums. Aged for 4 years, it certainly holds it own among rums aged much longer. Traces of vanilla and butterscotch are well balanced in this medium body aged rum.
Color: Pale gold. Medium intensity, but crystalline brightness. The nose is elegant and fresh with hints of vanilla and spices.
Palate: The palate shows a medium body, a very smooth and rich rum.
Finish: The finish reminds the aromatic freshness of the nose, and the characteristics of the palate with a bit of pepper.
Conclusion: Aged 4 years, the three star is a light - tasting delicate rum.
